THE Reality

When violence makes headlines, it can feel random. But the reality is more complicated.

Most gun violence isn't the result of strangers or isolated incidents. It often stems from long-standing conflicts, unresolved trauma, and cycles of retaliation that can stretch back years—even decades.

And while these incidents affect entire communities, the individuals most at risk represent a very small percentage of the population.

Violence is concentrated. It's cyclical. And because of that, it can be interrupted.
